Ben Nanton ( DJ Mutts) started DJing in 1995. When he was 16 years old he started working for reputable local disc jockey company mainly doing set-ups and tear downs. As time went on he learned the concept of DJing. Since then he has been working at different nightclubs around Nova Scotia and Ontario. He has been with Nanton Entertainment since 1999. In 2001 he was sent to Kingston, Ontario to work for the Ontario Hockey League. He was in Kingston with the Kingston Frontenacs playing all the music during the hockey games." That was a very interesting time for me". From August 2007 to July 2008 he was featured as a live to air DJ from Big Leagues in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. He really enjoys working with everyone here and going into different venues every week. Reading the crowd and pulling all the energy out of them is what he loves to do. "DJing is very important to me as I enjoy making nights to remember. Halifax is a great city with an awesome nightlife". He has watched this company grow from basically nothing to the large company it is today. "I wouldn't change working here for one second". |

One of Carla-Marie's earliest memories is hearing "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits blasting in her parent's truck, thus beginning a lifelong obsession with music. Training in classical violin, fiddle, trumpet and guitar have given her a broad knowledge of music theory. Throughout high school, Carla-Marie's alter-ego, Charlie, made her name as the go-to girl for great music mixes, dance party, and lighting design. She got her start in the world of Jing in 2006 doing weddings. As one of Nanton Entertainment’s newer employees, Carla looks forward to sharpening her skills behind the scenes and behind the decks to bring the music you want to hear. "There's nothing better than finding that perfect song at the perfect moment, and the crowd's really feeling it - I have the coolest job." |
